USD/INR- Indian rupee settles at 73.435 as of 10:05 PM IST against US Dollar on 15 October. The rupee continues to trade in the range of 73 in October. Yesterday, the rupee reached the highest of 73.520 and the lowest at 73.205. Concomitantly, the dollar index decreased by 0.07% and was at 93.79.
USD/ INR: Oil Prices
The US WTI crude rose by 0.63% or 0.26 points and settled at USD 41.02 per barrel at 10:47 PM GMT on 15 October. On the other hand, Brent Crude was trading at USD 42.85 per barrel. The oil prices fluctuate based on the hopes for a stimulus package, however, the announcement of which is uncertain. Further, signs of exhaustion will have the opportunity to short both the brent and crude markets. Moreover, oil continues to depend on a lot of uncertainties, including the lack of demand, a rising number of cases and the demand-supply imbalance.
USD/ INR- Gold Prices
Gold futures fell on Thursday. Accordingly, December gold futures decreased by 0.29% to Rs. 50,395 per 10 grams on the multi-commodity exchange. Similarly, Silver futures fell by 632 Rupees to settle at Rs. 60,971 per kg. Gold prices are still volatile in the domestic and the global market. In the international market, Gold was trading at USD 1900.50 per ounce in New York. On the other hand, Silver traded at USD 24.19 per ounce. The volatility is highly influenced by the stimulus package expectation, the US Dollar, Brexit uncertainty, the rising COVID-19 cases and an expectation of a vaccine for the coronavirus.
USD/ INR- Sensex Today
Sensex ended the day in red on 15 October. Accordingly, it decreased by 2.61% and saw a 1066.33 point drop. It was thereby ending the session at 39728.41 at 6:00 PM IST on 15 October. Similarly, the NIFTY dropped by 2.43% or 290.70 points and ended up at 11,680.35.
