USD/INR- The Indian rupee settled at 74.24 as of 11:45 PM IST against US Dollar on 23 November. The rupee opened high at 74.53 on Monday. Yesterday, the rupee reached the highest of 73.21 and the lowest at 74.80. At the same time, the dollar index fell by 0.02% or 0.01 points and was at 92.49.
USD/ INR: Oil Prices
The US WTI crude decreased by 1.00% and settled at USD 43.06 per barrel at 11:45 PM GMT on 23 November. On the other hand, Brent Crude was trading at USD 46.02 per barrel as it traded 0.09% lower on Monday. The oil prices fall is an effect of the global pandemic and the demand-supply mismatch. Currently, the downfall has left the investors and market participants in commotion. Accordingly, the news on COVID-19 vaccine seems like the only hope for the return of normalcy.
USD/ INR- Gold Prices
Gold prices began this week with a fall. Accordingly, December gold futures decreased by 1.46% or 733 Rupees to Rs. 49,479 per 10 grams on the multi-commodity exchange. Likewise, Silver futures fell by 1610 Rupees or 2.59% to settle at Rs. 60,548 per kg. With the news on COVID-19 vaccine, the investors are looking forward to a faster economic rebound. Also, the positive news from AstraZeneca COVID vaccine has raised the appetite for riskier assets. In the international market, Gold was trading at USD 1863.21 per ounce in New York. On the other hand, Silver traded at USD 24.00 per ounce.
USD/ INR- Sensex Today
On 23 November, Sensex ended the day in the green. Accordingly, it increased by 0.44% and saw a 194.90 point rise. Thereby ending the session at 44,077.15 at 4:10 PM IST on Monday. Similarly, the NIFTY rose by 0.52% and ended up at 12,926.45.
