USD/INR- Indian rupee settled at 74.63 as of 9:15 PM IST against US Dollar on 12 November. On Thursday, the rupee reached an intraday- high of 74.365 and the lowest at 73.751. At the same time, the dollar index rose by 0.01% or 0.01 points and settled at 92.98 as of 09:04 PM EST.
USD/ INR: Oil Prices
The US WTI crude decreased by 1.63% and settled at USD 40.45 per barrel at 10:45 PM GMT on 12 November. At the same time, Brent Crude was trading at USD 42.91 per barrel as it traded 1.42% lower yesterday. Even though the positive news regarding Pfizer’s COVID-19 vaccine raised the oil prices, the demand recovery is yet to happen. Also, due to the demand crises, the oil prices fell again yesterday after the momentary gains earlier this week.
USD/ INR- Gold Prices
Gold futures prices rose on Thursday. Accordingly, December gold futures increased by 0.21% or 104 Rupees to Rs. 50,273 per 10 grams on the multi-commodity exchange. On the contrary, Silver futures decreased by 211 Rupees or 0.34% to settle at Rs. 62,330 per kg. Fresh positions of the participants led to the rise in gold price, however, the same did not favour silver rates. In the international market, Gold was trading at USD 1863.10 per ounce in New York. On the other hand, Silver traded at USD 24.09 per ounce as it traded 0.73% lower on 12 November.
USD/ INR- Sensex Today
Sensex ended the day in the red on 12 November. Accordingly, it decreased by 0.54% or 236.48 points. Thereby ending the session at 4335719 at 6:00 PM IST on Thursday. Similarly, the NIFTY fell by 58.35 points or 0.46% and ended up at 12,690.80.
