USD/INR- The Indian Rupee settled at 73.60 at 8:55 PM INR on 26 February. The Indian rupee traded between 72.745 and 74.060 today. On the other hand, the dollar index is uncertain this week. Accordingly, it’s value increased by 0.88% and settled at 90.93 as of 5:00 PM EST Friday.
USD/ INR: Oil Prices
The US WTI crude oil prices fell sharply today. However, with the ongoing oil demand concern and the growing coronavirus pandemic, it is doubtful if the OPEC+ can handle the sharp fall. Accordingly, crude oil decreased by 3.20% at 8:00 PM on 26 February to trade at USD 61.50 per barrel globally. On the other hand, Brent Crude trading at USD 66.13 per barrel as it was traded 1.12% lower on Friday.
USD/ INR- Gold Prices
Precious metal prices began this week on a high but fell for four consecutive days. Accordingly, gold futures decreased by 1.03% or 474.00 Rupees to settle at 45767.00 per 10 grams on the multi-commodity exchange. Likewise, Silver futures plummet by 2007 Rupees or 2.06% to settle at Rs. 67419.00 per kg. The emergence of the COVID-19 pandemic and the COVID-19 mutants kept precious metals’ prices on edge this year. In the international market, Spot Gold was trading at USD 1760per ounce in New York. On the other hand, Silver traded at USD 26.78 per ounce.
USD/ INR- Sensex Today
The BSE Sensex ended in the week in red on 26 February. Accordingly, Sensex decreased by 13.80% or 1939.32 points. Thereby ending the session at 49,099.99 at 4:10 PM IST Friday. Similarly, the NIFTY decreased by 3.76% or 568.20 points and ended up at 14529.15.
