USD/INR- Indian rupee value settled at 73.57 on 24 December against the US Dollar at 9:45 PM. The India currency ranged between 70.682 and 77.010 this week. Yesterday, it reached the highest at 73.355 and the lowest at 73.578. Concomitantly, the dollar index dropped by 0.06% to settle at 90.27 as of 9:53 PM EST.
USD/ INR: Oil Prices
The US WTI crude oil continued to gain on Thursday. Accordingly, it rose by 0.23% at 10:40 PM GMT on 24 December to trade at USD 48.23 per barrel globally. On the other hand, Brent Crude was trading at USD 51.29 per barrel as it traded 0.18% higher on Thursday. The low demand crisis in the world seems to extend with the new crude build. USD/ INR- Gold Prices
In the previous trade on 24 December, Gold prices rose as investors sought safe haven. Accordingly, December gold futures increased by 0.26% or 385 Rupees to Rs. 49,239 per 10 grams on the multi-commodity exchange. Similarly, Silver futures rose by 1,102 Rupees or 1.13% to settle at Rs. 65,852.00 per kg. Despite the hopeful COVID-19 vaccine and easing of demand, the precious metals still soar high. In the international market, Gold was trading at USD 1878 per ounce in New York. On the other hand, Silver traded at USD 25.80 per ounce.
USD/ INR- Sensex Today
The stock markets rose on 24 December. Accordingly, Sensex ended in the green as it increased by 1.14%. Thereby ending the session at 46,973.54 at 4:10 PM IST on Thursday. Similarly, the NIFTY increased by 1.09% and ended up at 13,749.25.
