USD/INR- The Indian Rupee settled at 73.26 at 8:55 PM INR on 2 March. The Indian rupee traded between 73.260 and 73.480 today. On the other hand, the dollar index started this month on a high. Accordingly, it’s value increased by 0.03% and settled at 90.81 as of 9:14 PM EST Tuesday.
USD/ INR: Oil Prices
The US WTI crude oil prices rose sharply today. However, with the ongoing oil demand concern and the growing coronavirus pandemic, it is doubtful if the OPEC+ stumbles but favours oil prices. Accordingly, crude oil increased by 0.07%% at 7:00 PM on 2 March to trade at USD 59.79 per barrel globally. On the other hand, Brent Crude trading at USD 62.83 per barrel as it was traded 0.21% higher on Tuesday.
USD/ INR- Gold Prices
Precious metal prices began this week on a high. Accordingly, gold futures increased by 0.13% or 59.00 Rupees to settle at 45367.00 per 10 grams on the multi-commodity exchange. On the contrary, Silver futures plummet by 26.00 Rupees or 0.04% to settle at Rs. 67396.00 per kg. The emergence of the COVID-19 pandemic and the COVID-19 mutants kept precious metals’ prices on edge this year. In the international market, Spot Gold was trading at USD 1706 per ounce in New York. On the other hand, Silver traded at USD 26.33 per ounce.
USD/ INR- Sensex Today
The BSE Sensex begins the month by settling in the green on 2 March. Accordingly, Sensex increased by 0.90% or 447.05 points. Thereby ending the session at 50,296.89 at 4:10 PM IST Tuesday. Similarly, the NIFTY increased by 1.07% or 157.55 points and ended up at 14,919.10.
