USD/INR- The Indian currency settled at 72.60 at 9:45 PM INR on 18 February. The Indian rupee traded between 72.585 and 72.655 today. On the other hand, the dollar index rose today after experiencing a sharp fall last two days. Accordingly, it rose by 0.05% and settled at 90.64 as of 9:19 PM EST Thursday.
USD/ INR: Oil Prices
The US WTI crude oil prices fell today after rising the entire week. The oil demand concern and the growing coronavirus pandemic fear kept the investors on edge. Accordingly, crude oil fell by 2.94% at 9:32 PM on 18 February to trade at USD 58.74 per barrel globally. On the other hand, Brent Crude trading at USD 62.23 per barrel as it was traded 2.66% higher on Thursday.
USD/ INR- Gold Prices
Precious metal prices fell to over a two month low. Accordingly, gold futures decreased by 0.27% or 127.00Rupees to settle at 46110.00 per 10 grams on the multi-commodity exchange. Likewise, Silver futures decreased by 754.00 Rupees or 1.09% to settle at Rs. 68477.00 per kg. The emergence of COVID-19 pandemic and the COVID-19 mutants kept precious metals’ prices on edge this year. In the international market, Spot Gold was trading at USD 1776.93 per ounce in New York. On the other hand, Silver traded at USD 27.27 per ounce.
USD/ INR- Sensex Today
The BSE Sensex ended in the red on 18 February. Accordingly, Sensex decreased by 0.73% or 379.14 points. Thereby ending the session at 51,324.69 at 4:10 PM IST Thursday. Similarly, the NIFTY decreased by 0.59% or 89.95 points and ended up at 15,118.95.
