USD/INR- The Indian Rupee settled at 72.53 at 7:25 PM INR on 16 March. The Indian rupee traded between 72.315 and 72.585 today. On the other hand, the dollar index started this week on a high. Accordingly, it’s value increased and settled at 91.94 as of 10:02 PM EDT Tuesday.
USD/ INR: Oil Prices
The US WTI crude oil prices were uncertain on Tuesday. However, with the ongoing oil demand concern and the growing coronavirus pandemic, it is highly uncertain. Accordingly, crude oil increased by 0.06% at 7:50 PM on 16 March to trade at USD 64.84 per barrel globally. On the other hand, Brent Crude was set at USD 68.40 per barrel traded 0.01% lower on Tuesday.
USD/ INR- Gold Prices
Precious metal prices started this week on a high but fell on Tuesday. Accordingly, gold futures decreased by 0.18% or 83.00 Rupees to settle at 44817.00 per 10 grams on the multi-commodity exchange. Similarly, Silver futures fell by 711.0 Rupees or 1.05% to settle at Rs. 66958.00 per kg. The emergence of the COVID-19 pandemic and the COVID-19 mutants kept precious metals’ prices on edge this year. In the international market, Spot Gold was trading at USD 1716.53 per ounce in New York. On the other hand, Silver traded at USD 26.17 per ounce.
USD/ INR- Sensex Today
The BSE Sensex fell for two days straight on 16 March and continues this week in the red. Accordingly, Sensex decreased by 0.06% or 31.12 points. Thereby ending the session at 50,363.96 at 4:10 PM IST Tuesday. Similarly, the NIFTY decreased by 0.13% or 19.05 points and ended up at 14,910.45.
