USD/INR- Indian rupee value settled at 73.58 on 16 December against the US Dollar at 9:30 PM. The India currency began at a high of 73.470 on Wednesday. Yesterday, it reached the highest at 73.450 and the lowest at 73640. At the same time, the dollar index fell by 0.34% to settle at 90.15 as of 9:39 PM EST.
USD/ INR: Oil Prices
The US WTI crude oil finally increased on Wednesday after experiencing downfall the previous week. Accordingly, it rose by 0.69% at 10:40 PM GMT on 1g December to trade at USD 48.15 per barrel globally. On the other hand, Brent Crude was trading at USD 51.42 per barrel as it traded 0.67% higher on Wednesday. Despite facing the low demand crisis, the oil industry is finally bouncing back and seeing some gains this week.
USD/ INR- Gold Prices
Gold prices rose on 16 December amid COVID-19 vaccine roll-out phase. Accordingly, December gold futures increased by 0.35% or 173.00 Rupees to Rs. 49,616.00 per 10 grams on the multi-commodity exchange. Similarly, Silver futures rose by 998.00 Rupees or 1.54% to settle at Rs. 65,851.00 per kg. Amid the hopeful COVID-19 vaccine, the precious metals continue its gaining momentum. In the international market, Gold was trading at USD 1832.00 per ounce in New York. On the other hand, Silver traded at USD 24.34 per ounce.
USD/ INR- Sensex Today
Sensex ended in the green on 16 December. Accordingly, it increased by 0.23% and saw a 176.03 point rise. Thereby ending the session at 46,666.46 at 4:00 PM IST on Wednesday. Similarly, the NIFTY increased by 0.20% or 39.72 points rise and ended up at 13,682.70.
