USD/INR- The Indian currency settled at 72.61 at 8:29 PM INR on 15 February. The Indian rupee traded between 72.608 and 72.685 today. On the other hand, the dollar index fell today after experiencing a sharp rise last week. Accordingly, it fell by 0.21% and settled at 90.27 as of 8:59 PM EST on Monday.
USD/ INR: Oil Prices
The US WTI crude oil prices rose today after falling the previous week. The oil demand concern and the growing coronavirus pandemic fear kept the investors on edge. Accordingly, crude oil rose by 1.21% at 9:32 PM on 15 February to trade at USD 60.19 per barrel globally. On the other hand, Brent Crude trading at USD 63.50 per barrel as it was traded 0.32% higher on Monday.
USD/ INR- Gold Prices
Precious metal prices fell again after seeing a rise last week. Accordingly, gold futures decreased by 0.20% or 95.00 Rupees to settle at 47223.00 per 10 grams on the multi-commodity exchange. On the contrary, Silver futures increased by 1073 Rupees or 1.55% to settle at Rs. 70190.00 per kg. The emergence of COVID-19 pandemic and the COVID-19 mutants kept precious metals’ prices on edge this year. In the international market, Spot Gold was trading at USD 1819.00 per ounce in New York. On the other hand, Silver traded at USD 27.60 per ounce.
USD/ INR- Sensex Today
The BSE Sensex ended in the green on 15 February. Accordingly, Sensex increased by 1.18% or 609.83 points. Thereby ending the session at 52,154.13 at 4:10 PM IST Monday. Similarly, the NIFTY increased by 1.00% or 151.40 points and ended up at 15,314.70.
