USD/INR- Indian Rupee value settled at 73.25 on 13 January against the US Dollar. The Indian Rupee falls as the USD rises steeply. Today, it reached the highest at 73.115 and the lowest at 73.560. At the same time, the dollar index rose by 0.13% and settled at 90.47 as of 9:36 PM EST.
USD/ INR: Oil Prices
The US WTI crude oil fell on 13 January as the pandemic strikes uncertainty about the oil market balance. Accordingly, it fell by 0.15% at 7:40 PM GMT on 13 January to trade at USD 52.83 per barrel globally. On the other hand, Brent Crude trading at USD 55.96 per barrel as it traded 0.18% lower on Wednesday. Analysts suggest that the pandemic will lead to an oil supply crunch. Further, the low demand and high supply is a major concern for oil drillers this year.
USD/ INR- Gold Prices
As per today’s trend, Gold prices rose despite the resurgence of new coronavirus strain. Accordingly, gold futures increased by 0.49% or 240.00 Rupees to settle at 49285.00 per 10 grams on the multi-commodity exchange. On the contrary, Silver futures rose by 144.00 Rupees or 0.25% to settle at Rs. 65351.00 per kg. The emergence of COVID-19 pandemic and the COVID-19 vaccine kept the prices of precious metals on edge this year. In the international market, Gold was trading at USD 1857 per ounce in New York. On the other hand, Silver traded at USD 25.48 per ounce.
USD/ INR- Sensex Today
The BSE Sensex ended in the red on 13 January. Accordingly, Sensex decreased by 1.56% or 722 points. Thereby ending the session at 49,5492.32 at 4:10 PM IST on Wednesday. Similarly, the NIFTY increased by 0.23% or 24.79 points and ended up at 14,564.85.
