USD/INR- The Indian currency settled at 72.61 at 8:29 PM INR on 12 February. The Indian rupee traded between 72.565 and 72.830 today. Subsequently, the rupee is rising marginally for a week. On the other hand, the dollar index rose today after experiencing a steep fall yesterday. Accordingly, it rose by 0.11% and settled at 90.51 as of 10:51 AM EST on Friday.
USD/ INR: Oil Prices
The US WTI crude oil prices rose today after falling for the entire week. The oil demand concern and the growing coronavirus pandemic fear kept the investors on edge. Accordingly, crude oil rose by 0.55% at 8:32 PM on 12 February to trade at USD 58.56 per barrel globally. On the other hand, Brent Crude trading at USD 61.65 per barrel as it was traded 0.83% higher on Friday.
USD/ INR- Gold Prices
Precious metal prices fell again after seeing a rise this week. Accordingly, gold futures decreased by 0.09% or 41.00 Rupees to settle at 47467.00 per 10 grams on the multi-commodity exchange. Similarly, Silver futures decreased by 347 Rupees or 0.45% to settle at Rs. 68241.00 per kg. The emergence of COVID-19 pandemic and the COVID-19 mutants kept precious metals’ prices on edge this year. In the international market, Spot Gold was trading at USD 1815.00 per ounce in New York. On the other hand, Silver traded at USD 26.96 per ounce.
USD/ INR- Sensex Today
The BSE Sensex ended in the green on 12 February. Accordingly, Sensex increased by 0.02% or 12.78 points. Thereby ending the session at 51,544.30 at 4:10 PM IST on Friday. On the contrary, the NIFTY decreased by 0.07% or 10.00 points and ended up at 15,163.30.
