USD/INR- The Indian Rupee settled at 72.64 at 7:55 PM INR on 11 March. The Indian rupee traded between 72.700 and 72.7549 today. On the other hand, the dollar index started this week on a high. However, it’s value remained the same and settled at 91.42 as of 8:44 PM EST Thursday.
USD/ INR: Oil Prices
The US WTI crude oil prices fell again on Thursday after the fall at the beginning of the week. However, with the ongoing oil demand concern and the growing coronavirus pandemic, it is highly uncertain. Accordingly, crude oil decreased by 0.29% at 8:10 PM on 11 March to trade at USD 65.83 per barrel globally. On the other hand, Brent Crude was set at USD 69.48 per barrel traded 0.22% lower on Thursday.
USD/ INR- Gold Prices
Precious metal prices finally rose today. Accordingly, gold futures increased by 0.22% or 98.00 Rupees to settle at 44890.00 per 10 grams on the multi-commodity exchange. Similarly, Silver futures rose by 113.00 Rupees or 0.17% to settle at Rs. 67588.00 per kg. The emergence of the COVID-19 pandemic and the COVID-19 mutants kept precious metals’ prices on edge this year. In the international market, Spot Gold was trading at USD 1735.16 per ounce in New York. On the other hand, Silver traded at USD 25.78 per ounce.
USD/ INR- Sensex on 10 March
The BSE Sensex rose on 10 March following the last week’s crash. Accordingly, Sensex increased by 0.50% or 254.03 points. Thereby ending the session at 51,279.51 at 4:10 PM IST Wednesday. Similarly, the NIFTY increased by 0.51% or 76.40 points and ended up at 15174.80.
