Telangana reported 920 new Coronavirus cases on 25th June. Total Coronavirus cases in Telangana now stand at 11364.
Active cases as on date stand at 6446 as a total of 327 patients recovered, and five deaths reported on Thursday. The death toll in Telangana is at 230.
COVID-19 Tests in Telangana
Tests conducted till 25 June by the state are 70934. Total tests performed increased to 1906 per million. Despite the increase in testing, it remains one among the least testing state in India.
Death Rate and Cured Cases in Telangana
Mortality rate stands at 2.02% compared to the national average of 3.12%. Total of Recovered cases increases to 4688 as 327 cured in the state on Thursday. Meanwhile, the recovery rate stands at 41.25%. While the death tally is now at 230 as five fatalities were noted on 25th June.
District Wise Report
Hyderabad hosts over 8333 COVID-19 positive cases as 737 cases reported on 25th June. It remains the worst affected in Telangana with the tally nearing 9000. Ranga Reddy and Medchal Malkajgiri Districts confirmed 813 and 415 total Coronavirus positive cases, while 250 positive COVID-19 infections are from other states. The least affected district is Nayaranpet with only three COVID-19 cases.
Telangana is striving to Increase the Tests in the State
Telangana reported low testing rate since the pandemic; however, due to rising coronavirus risk, it decides to scale up COVID-19 tests. Till last week, it had conducted a total of 45911 tests. Nonetheless, on Wednesday alone, it increased the testing number to 4069 samples per day. Currently, it is trying to improve the tests up to 10000 per day. In this view, it is procuring new COBAS 8800 machine for active testing.
Telangana Journalists Severely Affected from COVID- 19 Infection
As on date, over 67 journalists have tested positive for coronavirus infection in the state. Sadly, 1 journalist succumbed his life to COVID-19 in Telangana. Today alone, 7 jouranislists from Warangal test positive for the COVID-19 infection. Also, note that all the seven patients recorded today are asymptomatic. Along with the said patients, 125 journalists were tested for the infection on Saturday and Sunday.
