India struggles to fight Coronavirus as its cases hit 6280 today and the death toll rose to 192. Prime Minister Modi asks India to prepare for a long battle against coronavirus.

In a meeting with Central ministers via video conferencing, PM Modi appreciated efforts of the minsters in tackling Coronavirus. Further, he said that the feedback provided by them assisted the government in formulating effective plans to curb and fight Coronavirus.
India reported 6280 cases with more than 600 new cases and 15 deaths in the last 24 hours. As India approaches Rabi harvest this week, PM Modi confirmed that the government would provide all necessary facilities for efficient harvesting. He encouraged the ministers to come up with innovative solutions for easing the harvesting process. He suggested the use of ‘truck aggregators’, developed based on cab service apps, to connect farmers better to the mandis.

Also, PM Modi mentioned the importance of effective communication among leaders, state and local administration. This is important to know the ground realities, especially of the COVID-19 hotspot areas. Further, he said that the spirit of Indians in combating the virus has set a global example. Besides, he appreciated the level of maturity that the citizens have shown during the lockdown.
Referring to the nationwide exercise, he said that the collective efforts for fighting the battle were depicted at 9 pm on Sunday. Also, he asked the BJP members to contribute to the PM-CARE fund.
Tablighi Effect
According to officials, at least 9000 people attended the congregation held at Tablighi last month. Government confirmed more than 600 positive cases and 15 deaths related to meeting at Tablighi Jamaat in Nizamuddin Markaz. Maharashtra, Kerala, Delhi, and Tamil Nadu have turned out as hotspots of the virus with the maximum share of active cases in the entire country.
In all, though the governmnet took timely measures citing the seriousness of the Coronavirus pandemic and India needs to win this battle collectively.
