1509 Basmati Paddy Prices dropped further today to INR 2550 per quintal. Prices of basmati rice varieties fell on reports of low demand in Saudi Arabia. Further reports of rice consignment stuck at Iran port for the past one month speculated further to create panic in the market.
Non basmati paddy varieties of PR and HR arrival increased in UP, Haryana and Punjab mandis. Non basmati paddy is majorly procured by FCI at Minimum support price. Prices of Basmati and Non-Basmati Rice varieties as on 16-10-2019
