Basmati rice wand qualities witnessed further downfall since the last update. Exporters are experiencing a lot of difficulties due to shortage of labour at the ports. As migrants from other states moved back to their hometowns. Ports such as Nhava Sheva, Mundra, Kandla, Kakinada and others have a shortage of labour. This is further leading to a downfall in basmati rice exports.
