Basmati rice varieties price in India increased today by 100 rupees per quintal as panic retail buying continued. We spoke to a trader in New Delhi who confirmed us that their store sold a month’s quantity of grains in 2 days. However, this trend will likely continue and a temporary increase in prices is expected in the coming days.
