Market remained stable today. Reports of basmati farmers in Punjab and Haryana stocking paddy of 1509, 1121 and 1401 furnished in the market. As these farmers were unable to get the right price for their produce they have started stocking the same. Farmers expect to sell the paddy in a few months above 3000 rupees a quintal. Currently, prices of 1509 paddy is at 2450 per quintal, 1401 paddy is at 2550 per quintal and 1121 paddy average rate is at 2750 per quintal.
