Wheat millers in Punjab are facing shortage in supply of wheat even after Punjab announced a bumper crop during harvest. Millers in the state purchase 25-30% of the wheat produced and rest is procured by the Food Corporation of India (FCI) to supply to other states like Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan and Himachal Pradesh.
