Farmers in parts of India are opting for short duration crops for Kharif season such as Jowar and Maize due to delayed monsoon. Farmers in Maharashtra, Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh in particular have opted for these crops and are expected to trade above minimum support price during harvest.
