Since the price drop yesterday there is no change in prices. Millers and exporters are clearing their old stock in anticipation of the new harvest season. Further, news of the biggest fraud faced by the Rice Industry is making rounds these days. This fraud happened in April-May this year where an Importer Al Rawnaq Al Thabhi General Trading Company UAE cheated more than 13 many rice millers and exporters including:
KG Industries (USD 1,026,347), AS Impex (USD 287,985), Amritsar Riceland (USD 451,259) Harman Rice (USD 553,640), Dazzle Craft (USD31,900), NM Foods (USD 321,170), Aarna Foodstuff (USD 289,925), Heera Rice Mills (USD 131,435), SG Agro (USD 130,835), RS Foods (USD 106,933), Kamla Rice Mills (USD 315,225), RBT Food (USD 50,730) and Varsani Impex (USD 20,185). The total fraud was in the range of 4.18 million US Dollars.
