268 new cases reported today in Madhya Pradesh. Coronavirus cases jump to 13861.
Active cases as on date stand at 2625 as a total of 260 patients cured today and nine deaths reported.
Madhya Pradesh COVID-19 District Wise Report
Indore district remains the worst affected with over 4734 Coronavirus cases as it recorded 25 new cases today. Coronavirus cases in Bhopal district stand at 2830 while Ujjain district cases crossed 800 and currently stand at 859. Morena district reported the highest number of COVID-19 cases today. All Districts in Madhya Pradesh have reported over 4 coronavirus cases till date.
Testing in Madhya Pradesh
Tests conducted till 30th June by the state are 365467. Total tests increases to 4444 tests per million. The rate at which COVID19 testing is done in Madhya Pradesh is meagre.
Madhya Pradesh COVID-19 Death Rate and Cured Cases
Mortality rate stands at 4.19% compared to the national average of 2.95%. The mortality rate in the state is concerning.
Total of Recovered cases increases to 10655 with a recovery rate of 76.87% while the death count stands at a concerning 581 as nine deaths reported in MP today.
Health Infrastructure Improvement During the Health Crisis
The Madhya Pradesh state government plans to increase the health care facilities by two-fold in the coming days. Recently, the oxygen bed facility was increased 30 folds during the pandemic. Currently, the government now has over 7000 oxygen bed and plans to increase the number to over 12000. Also, MP has 10245 doctors that strive to better the situation with passion. Furthermore, ICU beds in public are now 788 following the outbreak.
Home Department Employee Tests Positive for COVID-19
Following the positive test, the whole department underwent crucial sanitization. Also, the primary contacts of the coronavirus patients are now under self-quarantine. Further, all 14 employees working alongside the corona patient get checked for the infection. So far, eight positive cases reported in the secretariat in Madhya Pradesh.
