198 new cases reported today in Jammu and Kashmir. Total Coronavirus cases jump to 7695.
Active cases as on date stand at 2734 as a total of 134 patients cured today and 4 deaths reported today.
Jammu and Kashmir COVID-19 District Wise Report
Srinagar district remains the worst affected with over 971. Coronavirus cases. Coronavirus cases in Baramulla district stand at 909 while Kulgam district cases crossed 800 and currently stand at 831. All Districts in Jammu and Kashmir have reported over 27 Coronavirus cases till date.
Testing in Jammu and Kashmir
Tests conducted on 30 June by J&K are 365058. Total tests conducted increase to 27650 per every million in the Union Territory.
Jammu and Kashmir COVID-19 Death Rate and Cured Cases
Mortality rate stands at 1.36% compared to the national average of 2.95%.
Total of Recovered cases increases to 4856 while death count stands at a concerning 105.
Zero COVID-19 Positive Tests Among J&K Prisoners
V K Singh, Director General of Prisons, confirms that no positive cases reported in Jails till date in the Union Territory. Further, he acclaims the officials for taking necessary preventive measures. Also, he highlights that all 3628 prisoners from all the 14 Jails in Jammu and Kashmir are COVID-19 negative.
2 Army Men Tested Positive for COVID-190
Besides the terrorist attacks, army officials are preparing to battle the pandemic attack. Recently, two soldiers tested positive for the coronavirus infection among 144 civilians positive cases in the Union Territory on 30th June. In another event, a civilian became a victim of a terror attack in Sopore. Sadly, his grandson (3-year-old) seemed helpless in this heart-wrenching scenario, who was later saved by army personnel. Three CPRF personnel were hurt and rushed to the hospital during the same attack.
High COVID-19 Testing in Jammu and Kashmir
From conducting just 100 tests per day to conducting over 20000 tests per day, J&K tops COVID-19 testing in India. Testing is the only means of early detection and further aids in containing the infections soon. Thus, J&K can be considered model testers and the rest of the states must follow it’s footsteps.
