Price downfall continues in Basmati Rice Market in India. APEDA recently sent a notification to exporters regarding exports to Saudi Arabia. From first of November 2019, units under Food Safety Management Systems (FSMS) would be allowed to export to Saudi Arabia. Merchant exporters looking to export to Saudi Arabia need to source rice from FSMS Rice Mills only given they are willing to provide their certificate. Non-basmati rice prices remain stable.
