NSE NIFTY50 and BSE SENSEX Sets New Targets

Pushing the financial market for consecutive 4th winning streak, benchmark indices end high surging more than 1% in today’s session. BSE Sensex climbs 465 points to close at 36487 crossings 36000 levels and aiming for 37000 marks while NSE Nifty50 ends the session 156 points higher at 10763 touchings and dropping from 10800 levels.

Tracking strong global equity rally, Domestic equity market taking cues ends with gains. The disengagement between India-China in Ladakh region and strengthening macro data uplifted the investor sentiments. Indian FMCG companies are battling with COVID-19 infections. They are developing a new and enhanced vaccine to treat patients, thus raising the hopes for a swift recovery. Rupee continues to gain against US Dollar amid rising crude prices.

Top Gainers: S&P BSE Sensex and Nifty50

In the BSE market, Dhunseri Investments surged the highest by 20%. Other top gainers include NFL, ITI and Hummingbird rising by 19.97%, 19.96% and 18.93% respectively. In the NSE market, NFL rose the highest by 20%. Following that, Splendid Metal, BGR Energy and Triveni Turbine gained 20%, 19.98% and 16.80% respectively.

On BSE Sensex index, M&M gains the most by 7.58%. Other gainers include Bajaj Finance, Reliance, TCS and Tata Steel increasing 6.04%, 3.57%, 2.91% and 2.67% respectively. On NSE Nifty50 index, M&M topped the list by 7.55%. Subsequently, Hindalco, Tata Motors, Vedanta and Maruti Suzuki surged by 5.43%, 5.36%, 3.57% and 3.23% respectively.

Losers: S&P BSE Sensex and Nifty50

In the BSE market, Jonjua Overseas dropped the most by 17.07%. Other losers include Universal Auto, Oriental Veneer and Chemcrux Enterprises dropping by 14.27%, 11.55% and 10% respectively. In the NSE market, Winsome Yarns lost the highest by 25%. Following that, Raj Royan Industries, KSS and Visagar Polytex dropped by 16.67%, 11.11% and 10% respectively.

On the BSE Sensex index, five stocks lost value in today’s session. Bajaj Auto topped by 1.29%. Other losers include HDFC, Bharti Airtel, HUL and HCL Tech losing by 0.90%, 0.79%, 0.48% and 0.17% respectively. On NSE Nifty50 index, ITC hit the worst by 3.73%. Also, GAIL, Wipro, Dr Reddy Laboratories and Cipla slumped by 1.14%, 0.96%, 0.75% and 0.66% respectively.

FII and DII

Foreign Institutional Investors invested a net value of INR 348.35 crores in the domestic equity market with constant upliftment. Foreign investors bought stocks of value INR 4111.43 crores and sell-off INR 3763.08 crores making a positive impact and increasing hopes of investors.

Domestic Institutional Investors invested a total amount of INR 263.47 crores in the equity market with high hopes and continuous surge in demand. Local investors bought a total amount of INR 4205.92 crores and disposed-off INR 3942.45 crores in today’s session, making a positive impact and hoping for a quick recovery to high levels.
