Karnataka COVID-19 count jumps to 9721 as 322 new Coronavirus cases today. Concurrently, it recorded 274 discharges making the recovered count cross 6000 to 6004. Active cases in the state surged to 3563. The death toll in the state stands at 150 as eight COVID-19 deaths reported today. Previously, Karnataka showed promising recovery rate.

Karnataka COVID-19 District Wise Report
Bangalore surges to the top of the list that entails worst-hit districts in Karnataka. As, Bangalore recorded over 500 cases in the last week, thus surpassing Udupi and Kalaburagi district. Currently, Bangalore houses1505 COVID-19 cases while Kalaburagi has 1232 positive cases. Udupi and Yadgir Districts follow with 1088 and 894 Coronavirus positive cases respectively. Further, Bengaluru Urban District reported the highest (107) new COVID-19 cases today.
Death Rate and Cured Cases in Karnataka
Mortality rate increased to 1.54% against the national average of 3.16%. Total of Recovered cases increased to 6004. The death toll is at now 150 in Karnataka. Also, total COVID-19 testing in the state stands at 515969 on 22nd June.

Addressing the abrupt rise in Bengaluru COVID-19 cases, certain areas susceptible to the infection are under stern seal down.
