Haryana reported 386 new COVID-19 infections today. Total Coronavirus cases tally now stands at 9218 Active cases as on date are at 4538. Total of 604 COVID-19 patients cured today. Sadly, 4 fatalities confirmed in Haryana today.
COVID-19 Doubling Rate in Haryana is 9 days
COVID-19 continues to create Havoc in the state. Especially Gurugram district that has recently witnessed a spike in new cases.
Haryana COVID-19 District Wise Report
Gurugram District remains the worst affected with over 3991 confirmed cases, close to 4000. Of the total positive cases, 129 recorded today. Following that, Faridabad and Sonipat Districts report a total of 1842 and 719 Coronavirus cases respectively. 35 new COVID-19 cases recorded in Faridabad. Meanwhile, Sonipat District reported 51 new COVID-19 infections.
COVID-19 Testing
So far, Haryana has conducted 202808 COVID-19 tests. Presently, it is conducting up to 8000 tests per million population which is higher than last week’s 6429 tests in the state. Out of the total samples sent 187303 were negative while the report for 6287 samples is awaited.
Death Rate and Cured Cases in Haryana
The fatality rate in the state increased to 1.45% against country’s 3.31%. Sadly, the state has recorded 134 deaths to date. Total recovered cases jumped to 4556.
Haryana to Conduct Sero Survey- “COVID KAVACH ELISA”
Health Minister, Anil Vij reports that the state is yet to begin Sero Survey. The Sero Survey initiative is to examine the community prevalence of coronavirus. Haryana is one among the first state in India to conduct this type of survey. Further, he explains that the test will identify antibodies produced by the body to fight against the coronavirus. As of now, the initial phase is to begin at NCR, hotspots, and high containment zones.
